The Montserrat Red Cross is hosting a free Christmas Day meal for the elderly and vulnerable with food, drink and entertainment.
Attendees are warmly encouraged to dress in their finest attire and join in an afternoon filled with festive celebrations.
The event will be held at Look Out Primary School’s auditorium on 25 December from 12pm, with bus collection starting at 11am.
Speaking on ZJB Radio on 18 December, Rhannon Williams of the Montserrat Red Cross described the lunch as an opportunity to “relax and enjoy the Christmas season.”
There will be entertainment for the attendees including steel pan music, Christmas carol singing and other games and activities, she said.
“It’s the season for giving, and we at the Montserrat Red Cross just want to share some love and just have everyone come out and enjoy themselves,” Williams added.
The charity is also running a Secret Santa initiative, inviting the public to submit names of individuals who might “need a little cheer during Christmas” to receive a gift.
Anyone wishing to attend the event, to nominate someone to be given a gift or to make a donation can call the Montserrat Red Cross on (644) 496-2699.
