Sixty-three-year-old Bertram Cecil Lindsey from Davy Hill is on trial at Montserrat High Court after pleading not guilty to two charges of rape.
The alleged offences are said to have taken place in Davy Hill on 21 and 22 April, 2023. The complainant’s identity is protected by law.
The trial began on 20 January, with both sides presenting evidence before nine jurors and Justice Brian Cottle.
It is expected to conclude on 31 January when the jurors will convene to decide on their verdict.
Lindsey was arrested and charged on 18 May, 2023. He was later granted bail.
