Sean Troy Perera of the Royal Gibraltar Police will become acting deputy commissioner of the Royal Montserrat Police Service for one week this March.
Chief Magistrate Vashti Chatoor swore him in on Friday, 8 March, and he will serve from 9 to 14 March, remaining on island until 29 March.
Perera swore his oath to Montserrat’s police force before Governor Sarah Tucker, according to a government Facebook post.
She said: “I am grateful to the Royal Gibraltar Police for extending their support to Montserrat.
“This is a further opportunity for British Overseas Territories to collaborate and work together.”
Perera is Royal Gibraltar Police officer, a tactical firearms commander and a Public Order Silver Commander.
