Travellers who paid the full fare for flights between Montserrat and Antigua from June to November last year can apply for a refund of EC$200 on each ticket.
But they only have until Friday, 14 March, to make the request, the Access Division said in a statement on 6 March.
The EC$200 flight discount was originally introduced just weeks after the Access Division announced on 30 April, 2024, that the ferry service between Antigua to Montserrat had concluded.
As part of the agreement, the two airlines operating the route – Fly Montserrat and SVG Air – were expected to cut the flight prices then claim the subsidy from the government.
It was originally planned to continue until August but was later extended twice to finish at the end of November.
However, several people bought tickets before the discounts were announced and paid the full price for the routes.
In order to claim the refund, ticket holders must have a copy of the ticket itinerary and ticket receipt, and indicate preferred payment method.
They can make the refund request or ask for further details by email at accessmni@gov.ms or by calling (664) 491-3378.
The statement explained that the deadline is necessary to allow for the process of all requests and payments before the end of the government’s 2024/2025 financial year.
