UK television presenter Scarlette Douglas has arrived in Montserrat with her family to take part in this year’s St Patrick’s Festival celebrations.
The Montserrat Tourism Authority is hosting the visit, offering Douglas the opportunity to explore the island’s rich culture while sharing her experiences with her extensive social media audience.
Douglas is best known for her role as a property expert on the popular shows Channel 4’s ‘A Place in the Sun’ and HGTV UK’s ‘My Dream Derelict Home in the Sun’.
During her stay, she will not only have a chance to admire the island’s beautiful buildings, but explore its unique landscapes, engage with residents and indulge in the vibrant culinary scene.

She will also attend several St Patrick’s Festival events including the St Patrick’s Day parade and Heritage Feast to experience the unique fusion of the island’s African and Irish heritage.
This visit is especially meaningful for Douglas, as her mother, her uncle and herself share a birthday on St Patrick’s Day.
Through her social media platforms, she will provide an authentic, first-hand account of Montserrat’s appeal as a must-visit travel destination.
In her first video, Douglas said she was excited to be in Montserrat for her birthday and detailed her journey over to the island.
In a press release on 12 March, Cherise Aymer, market development officer for the Montserrat Tourism Authority, welcomed Douglas and her family to Montserrat.
“It is clear that she is having the time of her life on the island and has already begun sharing the beauty and significance of our St Patrick’s festivities with her audience,” she said.
Aymer added: “We look forward to the impact her storytelling will have in inspiring more travellers to discover our island.”
