Government invites bids for supply of mortuary chiller and freezer

The Ministry of Health and Social Services is requesting bids for the supply of a large chiller and freezer for a mortuary in Montserrat.

It issued an invitation to tender on 5 November and interested parties have until 11 December to apply.

The document details the equipment specifications.

It explains that the chiller must have capacity for ten bodies, two of which must be able to accommodate obese people, and be able to maintain a temperature of between two degrees Celsius and 4°C.

The refrigerator unit must be made of stainless steel, with a vapour-proof interior light fixture, digital thermometer and temperature controller, and door with locks and an internal emergency exit.

The body freezer needs to maintain a temperature of between -0°C and -20°C and have capacity for two obese bodies.

It must also be made of stainless steel, with a vapour-proof interior light fixture, digital thermometer and temperature controller, and door with locks and an internal emergency exit.

The Ministry of Communication, Works and Labour is also seeking bids for the supply and delivery of a twin cab pick up truck for John A Osborne Airport.

The invitation to tender was issued on 30 October and applications must be made before 27 November.
