Travellers who paid the full fare for flight tickets between Montserrat and Antigua for September and October can apply for a refund of the EC$200 subsidy.
However, the request can only be made to the Access Division after travel, the government said in a Facebook post on 13 September.
On 26 August, the government stated it was extending its flight subsidy to airlines for two more months, after it was in place during June, July and August.
It was originally introduced just weeks after the Access Division announced on 30 April that the ferry service between Antigua to Montserrat had concluded.
As part of the agreement, the two airlines operating the route – Fly Montserrat and SVG Air – were expected to cut the flight prices then claim the subsidy from the government.
However, some people bought their flights for September and October before the extended subsidy was announced.
Those wishing to claim their refund can contact the Access Division by email at op@gov.ms or call (664) 491-3378 or WhatsApp (664) 392- 3600.
In order to claim the refund, ticket holders must email a copy of the ticket itinerary and ticket receipt, and indicate preferred payment method.
