Volunteer sports reporter

Are you passionate about sports and eager to kickstart your journalism career? Montserrat Focus is looking for a dynamic volunteer sports reporter to join our team.

In this unpaid role, you’ll cover local sports events, conduct interviews, and write engaging articles.

You’ll work about four hours a week and in return, as well as getting free access to sporting events, you’ll get mentoring from a seasoned journalist.

Requirements:

• Strong interest in local sports and sports journalism.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines.
• Over 18, with access to own computer, internet, and camera (can use smartphone).
• Previous writing/reporting experience is a plus.
