Montserrat-born author Vanessa Farrell has finished writing a book detailing her journey as a single woman over the age of 50.
Four years in the making, ‘Delayed Not Denied: The Journey of Singleness – It’s Worth the WAIT’ talks about her struggles and offers support to others in a similar position.
Farrell shares personal stories, dating experiences, and the valuable lessons she learned along the way.
The book is centred on four key touchstones represented by the acronym WAIT which have been instrumental to her own growth and perseverance.
They are to seek wisdom, keep asking, be intentional and trust God’s timing.
“I want every single woman reading this book to know that she is not alone,” Farrell says in the blurb for her book on Amazon.
She explains that a season of singleness is valuable and filled with opportunities for growth, self-discovery, and building a strong foundation for future relationships.
“Remember, those who wait upon the Lord will find their strength renewed, and they will soar like eagles,” Farrell says.
“So, if you are a single woman waiting for your husband, feeling weary, or considering giving up, I implore you to stay the course.
“Together, let’s embrace the beauty of our singleness, knowing that love will come in due time – and it will be worth the WAIT.”
Farrell is a certified health coach and currently lives on the island of St Croix in the United States Virgin Islands where she runs a coaching practice.
While this is her first full book, she has released several journals in the past including a gratitude journal, a sermon notes journal, a prayer journal and a peace journal.
