Montserrat’s immigration and customs forms now available online

Immigration and customs forms are now available to fill out online before travel to Montserrat at travelmontserrat.gov.ms

The new service from the island’s Immigration and Customs Departments enables visitors to submit their embarkation and disembarkation information up to 72 hours in advance.

Kiosk machines will be set up by January 2025 at John A Osborne Airport and Little Bay port for travellers who have not completed the online forms on arrival.

The upgrades, supported by various regional and international organisations, aim to reduce processing times and improve the travel experience.

A government press release on 20 August said there will be a series of awareness programmes to teach the public how to interface with the system.

The CARICOM IMPACS team developed the online form with support from technicians at Montserrat’s  Department for Information Technology and e-Government Services.

These automated services are enhanced by passport scanners under the Overseas Territories Regional Crime Intelligence System upgrade, currently being implemented, the press release said.

Also supporting the upgrade are the UK’s Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office and the OECS Commission through the 11th European Development Fund.
