Soca star Trevon ‘Ttrevvle’ Pollard retires from local competition

One of Montserrat’s leading soca musicians Trevon ‘Ttrevvle’ Pollard has announced that he is retiring from local competition and will not be participating in this year’s carnival.

In a Facebook post on 7 November, he thanked everyone for their support throughout the years and said it is time to embrace new a new chapter of his life.

He wrote: “To my fans and well-wishers, I regret to inform you that I will not be participating in the 2024 Montserrat Annual Carnival.

“With that, I also wish to announce my retirement from local competition.

“There comes a time in life when we must dream, aspire, and achieve – and as I reflect on my journey, it is now time for me to step away and embrace new chapters.

“Thank you all for your unwavering support throughout the years. It has been an incredible experience, and I am forever grateful.

“Stay tuned for what the future holds.”

Pollard was the winner of 2019’s Road March at Montserrat Carnival with his vibrant, high-energy soca anthem ‘Defend It’.
