As general election day draws nearer, Montserrat’s competing political parties and independent nominees have have taken their campaigns to the airwaves.
Electoral candidates have been using the platform to highlight their policies on economic development, healthcare, infrastructure, unemployment, education reform and renewable energy initiatives.
The broadcasts provide an opportunity for the aspiring members of the Montserrat Legislative Assembly to address the electorate directly, to counter criticism and offer solutions to concerns.
The candidates have also used the opportunity to encourage the 3,464 registered voters to turn out for the 24 October general election.
