The second evening of the Montserrat Basketball Invitational Tournament saw the British Virgin Islands face off against St Kitts and Nevis, and Montserrat play against St Eustatius.
The first match in the multipurpose sports complex in Little Bay was a tightly contested game, keeping the crowd on the edge of their seats as the lead changed hands multiple times.
Reigning champions St Kitts and Nevis, however, managed to secure a narrow victory with a final score of 45 points to the British Virgin Islands’ 42.
In the next match of the evening on 11 December, Montserrat maintained a strong lead against St Eustatius throughout, concluding the game with a score of 93 to 57.
The tournament, hosted by the Montserrat Amateur Basketball Association, began on Tuesday, 10 December, and will continue until Saturday.
After the first four games, St Kitts and Nevis has two wins, Montserrat has one win, the British Virgin Islands one win, and St Eustatius two losses.
